How it all began…

You know that feeling of pure giddiness when eating your favorite, most scrumptious bite of food?  When you’re full, but you don’t care, because you’d rather overeat than leave a single morsel of goodness behind?  When you eat so much you get the elated non-stoppable giggles and a food buzz that makes you feel a little woozy? That’s Food Club.

Food Club is a loving nickname that I’ve come to associate with all things delicious.  Whether that be dining out at a new or favorite restaurant or new recipe ideas that you just have to share.  Food club is the celebration and community that is derived from sharing a good meal together.

I’ve often thought about what brings me the most joy in life.  I love travel, yoga, music, my family and friends, my dog.  But when I think about what really makes me passionate and fills me with the pure delight of a child discovering something new -- it’s food!  So, this blog is for anyone who also feels that special bond and communal passion for mealtime.  I am in no way a food expert, nor by any means am I a professional chef, but I am most definitely a professional eater.  I am in awe of the beauty of food and the joy it can create when tasting something for the first time or maybe the 200th time.

Food club is a multitude of things:

It’s a noun – Would you like to join us for “Food Club” tonight?

It’s a verb – Where are we “Food Clubbing” this weekend?

It’s an adjective – This would be a great “Food Club” restaurant, let’s add it to the list!

I would love for you to join me on this silly food club adventure – and share some of your favorite places to eat, or recipes that just warm your soul.  And if this blog isn’t for you, I bet you know someone who would love it, so please pass it along. 😊
